How “edgy”

Kudos to DeVotchKa for finding a new way offend and appall even during this election season, which thanks to the Obama campaign, is perhaps the nastiest and gnarliest one on record.

The Boulder Theater was packed with stilts, skeletons and acrobats on Friday — and that was just on stage — for the first night of DeVotchKa’s weekend run. MarchFourth Marching Band kicked off the show with a stunning visual performance. DeVotchKa’s Day of the Dead/Mayan Apocalypse theme came to life with a “sacrificial ritual” of a band member in a Mitt Romney mask.

Isn’t that special? They sacrificed Mitt to the Aztec Gods.

I’m guessing because they can only be appeased by Republicans:
