The artist is currently busy working on multiple movie projects that are scheduled to be released soon.

During an outing, the singer was spotted wearing a white face mask for protection against COVID-19. She is gearing up to star in a romantic comedy movie called Marry Me, alongside Owen Wilson. The film is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby, and follows the story of Katalina Valdez, a singer who agrees to marry a fan after finding out her stage partner is cheating on her.

The upcoming Kat Coiro-directed film will also feature talented artists like Maluma, Sarah Silverman, and Jameela Jamil. The project was initially revealed in 2019, with filming taking place and wrapping up the same year. Lopez and Maluma have announced that they will be creating new tracks for the movie’s soundtrack, with the singles Pa’ Ti and Lonely dropping in September last year. Marry Me’s release date has been rescheduled to February 11th, 2022, following a delay caused by the global pandemic.

Extra effort: Lopez and Maluma will both contribute original songs to the feature's soundtrack; she is seen at the 2019 premiere of Hustlers

Lopez and Maluma are set to create original songs for the soundtrack of the upcoming film. Lopez was previously seen at the premiere of “Hustlers” in 2019. In addition, Lopez will also be starring in the action-romantic comedy movie “Shotgun Wedding.”

The film follows a couple about to tie the knot who must rescue their loved ones when they are all held hostage right before the wedding. Lopez is set to star alongside Josh Duhamel in the film directed by Jason Moore. The cast of the movie also includes Lenny Kravitz, Cheech Marin, and D’Arcy Carden.

Back in 2019, there was talk about a new movie feature with Ryan Reynolds as the male lead. However, Reynolds ended up leaving the project and Armie Hammer took his place. Unfortunately, Hammer also left the cast after facing allegations of abuse from several women earlier this year. Filming for the movie started this past winter and Jennifer Lopez recently announced that production had wrapped up in April. Fans can mark their calendars for June 29th, 2022, when Shotgun Wedding is expected to hit theaters.
