A promising student, Gal, was recently honored with a prestigious scholarship at LMU. The beneficiary of this scholarship, Carla, had just begun her journey at the university a couple of weeks earlier and was thrilled to receive a full four-year scholarship to this esteemed Jesuit institution.
With great power comes great responsibility! Gal, a famous LMU undergraduate, humbly passed on the torch to future female leaders by acknowledging their true superhero abilities. As the singer of “Cry Me A River” joined the glamorous actress on stage, his rugged jaw showcased a well-kept stubble. Freshman Carla Arellano, a new addition to the university, was granted a full scholarship for her entire four-year journey at the Jesuit institution. Gal’s heartfelt words of encouragement resonated with the audience, empowering young women to embrace their inner strength and potential.
Get ready! Gal tied her hair up in a neat ponytail and showcased her natural beauty with a healthy glow and rosy lips as she stepped onto the stage to receive her award.
Ladies rule! Gal made sure to address the aspiring female leaders of tomorrow before presenting the award, stating, ‘While I’ve been lucky enough to play a superhero in movies, the real superheroes are the young women in this room today.’
During her speech, Gal received support from Timberlake, Carla’s mentor, and Laurie Zaks, the President of Television at Mandeville Films. Gal expressed admiration for the women who face challenges yet remain determined to achieve more, calling them the future’s true leaders. She also commended the undergraduate who was to receive an honor, describing her as strong-willed, outspoken, and ambitious to become a screenwriter, impressing everyone who has crossed paths with her, including her mentors, professors, and those present at the event.
The rising star of the next generation was commended by Gal for being strong-minded, opinionated, and gutsy. Gal expressed concern that without funding, the undergrad would not be able to continue her education at LMU, a situation shared by many other talented young women in the program. Despite her surprise at winning, the enthusiastic student had a few playful comments for Gal and her mentor Laurie, jokingly calling them sneaky.
The lovely leading lady! The actress enhanced her outfit with shiny red earrings, sparkling rings, and an elegant tennis bracelet.
Recently, Gal chatted with comedian Kumail Nanjiani, known for his role in The Big Sick, for Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ segment. He asked her about her experience playing the iconic Amazonian character.
She shared, “It was a first for me – seeing strong, beautiful, confident women who can take care of themselves on screen. It was surprising, and even more surprising that I hadn’t seen it before.”
